It was just terrible. I was in a car accident and broke my leg—the femur bone in my thigh. I guess I was lucky not to have worse happen, but I didn’t feel lucky. I couldn’t walk, bathe, dress I couldn’t do anything without help.
But I was lucky about one thing: ending up at Slate Valley Center for my rehab. The staff was so nice and generous. And they pushed me to get better without pushing too hard.
I was there for 20 days, and it made a world of difference. I’m back home, walking and bathing and dressing on my own. If you break a leg—or face rehab for an illness or surgery—go to Slate Valley Center!
